

Sandra E. Taylor is an internationally recognized expert in environmental sustainability and corporate responsibility. She has an extensive career in corporate public affairs, environmental sustainability, public relations, philanthropy and communications, as well as diplomacy with the US State Department. Sandra spent many years as an executive with global consumer products corporations, including Starbucks Coffee Company in Seattle, where she directed corporate responsibility strategies related to hospitality and agricultural commodities. She led a team that managed the unique connection between authentic sustainability and brand equity. Currently she is CEO of Sustainable Business International LLC, a consulting business she founded in 2009.
Sandra brings a lifelong passion for wine, completing the French Wine Scholars course in 2010. She is an author and has conducted research on sustainability in wine supply chains and marketing sustainability to wine consumers. Her first book, The Business of Sustainable Wine, was published in 2017. Her second book, Vines and Values: A Consumer's Guide to Sustainable Wine was published in 2025. She is a graduate of the Wine MBA program at the Bordeaux School of Management in France. A wine educator, Sandra is a frequent speaker on sustainable leadership and social responsibility in wine at global wine conferences. She is Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of LIVE, that certifies sustainable winegrowing in the Pacific Northwest. In addition, she has been a judge of the California Green Medal Sustainable Winegrowing Leadership Awards.

Sandra received a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from Colorado Women’s College, Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law and MBA from the Bordeaux School of Management/Kedge Business School in Bordeaux, France. She resides in Charlottesville. Virginia.
